Google Bad Review: Quite frankly the MOST unprofessional service I have EVER had the misfortune of using.
My car was recovered by RAC last Thursday and taken straight to this garage. Upon arrival, the mechanic had a look and told my husband that he will look at the car on Friday ( the next day) call us with a quote to see if we wish to go ahead, then get everything ordered in and the car should be ready Monday / Tuesday at the latest. He said, he wasn’t going to be in work the next day (Friday) but will make sure he gets his colleague to call us and get things moving.
Friday came, we never got a call. So we called the garage and asked them for the quote.
We were quite abruptly told “ we haven’t looked at it yet, we won’t even be able to look at it till Monday earliest”
So they were keeping the car for 4 days before they even looked at it, leaving me with no car. If they had said this on the Thursday OR called us Friday morning to say look, sorry but we can’t look at your car till Monday you are more then welcome to find another garage so you can get it sorted soon – then that would have been a problem.
Then it gets worse.
On Sunday, my husband got a text from RAC asking him to review his experience on the garage and it’s efficiency. So my husband answered honestly and explained they’ve not even looked at the car despite having it 3 days already…
An hour or so later on a Sunday afternoon, my husband got a call from the mechanic. He was outraged that my husband would leave such a review, spun a whole story full of lies about how the car has been looked at and the parts ordered – even though we were told the car wouldn’t even be looked at till Monday, we’re given no quote so why would the parts be ordered without it even being looked at?
He then told us to “Get RAC to come and collect your car I’m not fixing it now”
So not only have they had my car for 4 days, not looked at it and lied about it… we have this morning had to get RAC to recover it from
The garage and take it elsewhere.
The most unprofessional, time wasting people, would not recommend.
