The main guy len is unfortunately not
An honest person. We went to this mechanic after seeing such great reviews.
Customer service is not as great as it sounds. Takes advantage out of
People who don't actually know much about cars. We did, little did he know.
Len tells unsuspecting customers that he purchases parts from the main dealership and doesn't receive a discount for his parts hence why he charges a premium sum for parts & labour (he actually quoted me higher than the main dealership charges) .. so We ended up purchasing parts ourselves. However once we was in his office We found out he purchases parts from GSF Car Parts on a discounted rate and they are NOT dealership original parts by any means.
Dishonesty from the Off. Why lie? Poor people who know no better, they think they are paying good money for Genuine dealership parts when really it's just the next best thing.
He says he is an a VW Master Technician, but when it came to diagnosing a issue with our car, we realised he relys heavily on his computer, because when a fault didn't show up on his computer he started telling us the issue was much bigger in costs of upwards £700… of course we said no to that and laughed to ourselves, because We already knew the issue; it was only a lose hose and a
faulty sensor only costing £110 at another mechanic. Dishonesty. A VW Master Mechanic should be able to find the root cause to any car as quick as possible since they've supposed to of had many years working in the main dealership, hence why they are called masters.
Once again, ready to rip the pocket of someone who doesn't know any better. Not good.
We ended up only getting one bit of work done which we had parts for, and his workers did the job very quickly. His workers are very good, it's just your main point of interaction who happens to be the guy who runs the show isn't as great as everyone has made him sound. Probably because they are people who don't know much about cars.
Sorry, we will never be coming back here again and they only receive a 1 star because of your workers. Otherwise 0 Stars.
