Google Bad Review 1: i have attended this school for multiple years and my experience has been incredibly traumatic. the teachers are harsh and unmerciful, there is an inhumane litter picking service for people who are late, little to no diversity in the staff (the majority of whom are white) and the minimal funding goes to unnecessary things. there are multiple leaks around the school in different classrooms, which let in water when it rains, and despite the multiple complaints that have been registered over them, they have remained unfixed for the last few years. there are ableistic tendencies, as there is no sign language club, all the students are forced to take religious studies at gcse level, there are no support groups for lgbtq+ students or students of ethnic minorities, the faculty are often cruel to those who arent “perfect”, the office staff are unhelpful at best and downright unpleasant at wors and the IT systems are forever breaking and out of use. only last week the school saw a breach in it's safety when people not from the school gained access to the school servers and interrupted some lessons.
and not to get started on the uniform. we have been forbidden trousers, and see no hope in getting the right to wear them in future, which can be damaging to the students who may be struggling with body/gender dysphoria, and who may be uncomfortable dressing femininely. as someone who has struggled with the above for most of my adolescence, i know what a help wearing trousers at school would have been for my progression into feeling more comfortable with my identity.
all in all: if you are contemplating sending your child here, dont. it will likely damage their experience as a child and perhaps impact their learning.
